AED (Automated External Defibrillator) stands for the automated external defibrillator. It is a portable small medical device used during cardiac arrest. It consists of 2 sticky pads (which act as electrodes). These electrodes are attached to the human body’s skin on two different sides of the heart. After that AED will synch with the heartbeat. Once it machine understands the condition of the heart it gives electrical shock accordingly. And brings back the heart to its normal rhythm.
