Here&#8217;s compiled information on what a health ID is and what it means for us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/healthid.ndhm.gov.in\/\">What is a Health ID?<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The national health ID will be a repository of all health-related information of a person. According to the National Health Authority (NHA), every patient who wishes to have their health records available digitally must start by creating this Health ID. Each Health ID will be linked to a health data consent manager, such as National Digital Health Mission (NDHM), which will be used to seek the patient\u2019s consent and allow for seamless flow of health information from the Personal Health Records module. The Health ID is created by using a person\u2019s basic details and mobile number or&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/indianexpress.com\/article\/what-is\/what-is-aadhaar-card-and-where-is-it-mandatory-4587547\/\">Aadhaar<\/a>&nbsp;number.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What was the original proposal for the health ID?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The National Health Policy 2017 had envisaged creation of a digital health technology eco-system aiming at developing an integrated health information system that serves the needs of all stakeholders and improves efficiency, transparency and citizens\u2019 experience with linkage across public and private healthcare<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/vmedo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/idd.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2975\" width=\"849\" height=\"477\"\/><figcaption>Image credits-<a href=\"https:\/\/indianexpress.com\/\">https:\/\/www.gizbot.com\/<\/a><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Where else can ussee such Centralized health record system?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Oh yes there are many countries in the world that maintain a centralized health record system for example NHS in UK and EHR in USA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">EHR or Electronic Health Record in USA contains the medical and treatment histories of patients<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>How to register my Digital ID Card?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The following steps will guide you through registering for this application.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Step 1- Download the app for <a href=\"https:\/\/play.google.com\/store\/apps\/details?id=in.ndhm.phr&amp;hl=en_IN&amp;gl=US\">NDHM Health Records<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Step 2. Click on Register Now and select your preferred language.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Step 3- Now, you have two options: register with a mobile number or an Aadhar card.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Step 4- Click on the Aadhar Card link and enter the required details.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Step 5- Your registered mobile phone number will receive an OTP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Step 6- Once the Health ID Card has been created, the individual will create a username.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Step 7- We will be asked to submit some more documentation, such as your identification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Step 8: Once it\u2019s completed, you\u2019ll receive your digital Health Card.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Step 9- Create a password for the Digital Health Card.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Step 10 \u2013 Use valid credentials to log in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/healthid.ndhm.gov.in\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/vmedo.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/11\/Digital-Health-ID-Card.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2976\" width=\"840\" height=\"480\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What are the benefits of having a Health ID?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Medical details are usually stored in a paper format by several people. The Mission will not only make the processes of hospitals simplified but also will increase ease of living. The Digital Ecosystem will also enable a host of other facilities like Digital Consultation, Consent of patients in letting medical practitioners access their records, etc. With the implementation of this scheme, old medical records cannot get lost as every record will be stored digitally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/abdm.gov.in\/\">Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission<\/a> is a National Digital Health Ecosystem that supports Universal Health Coverage in an efficient, accessible, inclusive, affordable, timely, and safe manner, through provision of a wide-range of data, information and infrastructure services, duly leveraging open, interoperable, standards-based digital systems, and ensuring the security, confidentiality and privacy of health-related personal information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What is Ayushman Bharat Yojana?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ayushman Bharat Yojana is the world\u2019s largest health insurance scheme that provides a health insurance cover of Rs 5 lacs to each Indian family who is eligible.
