Arera Healthcare and Technologies Private Limited (“us”, “we”, or “VMEDO”, which also includes its affiliates) is the author and publisher of the internet resource www.vmedo.com (“Website”) on the world wide web as well as the software and applications provided by VMEDO, including but not limited to the mobile application ‘VMEDO’, and the software and applications of the brand names ‘VMEDO store’, ‘VMEDO academy’ (together with the Website, referred to as the “Services”).
This privacy policy explains how, and why we collect user information, and service providers' information, and where we share and disclose your information. Your use of and access to the Services of VMEDO app and website is subject to this Privacy Policy and our Terms of Use as defined in both VMEDO mobile app and VMEDO website.

Why Privacy policy is required?
It's a practice of being transparent & providing clear information towards service users(app and website) about what is happening with their personal data including the gathering of data, usage of data, and storing of data that they are providing you with - knowingly and unknowingly.
Definitions
User means a person/volunteer who has signed up or requested with "VMEDO" for the use the service.
Partner means the party having sole responsibility for the emergency response service using the VMEDO platform to connect with the User.
Emergency Responder means the person, volunteer or third party who provides the emergency response to the User of app or website & which works on behalf of VMEDO during the medical emergency.
Facility means a facility as in a hospital, blood bank, ambulance, first aid, health tools, and any medical emergency facility to save one's life, to serve during the emergency when requested.
Enabling Cookie
Cookies are the sensitive information that is collected by a cache of the browser on your computer's hard drive. They enable us (VMEDO) to provide better features, to improve UI, to monitor site usage and make subsequent searches faster. If you wish not to store cookies information it can be deleted from your hard drive. By default, most web browsers automatically store cookies, but you can change your browser settings to prevent that.
And all the information that is stored by cookies is for our use only - we do not disclose or share this information with any third parties.
Privacy of minors
VMEDO cares about the safety of children and it doesn't allow to register the children below the age 18 with the app or provide personal data unless the registration is done by their parents / guardians who take responsibility for the use of the service.
Purposes to Process Your Personal Information
When you visit our (VMEDO) Website OR VMEDO App, we process your technical data such as your IP-address, device id, information about the device manufacturer, model, visited web pages, the duration of a visit / session, operating system of your device and the browser that you are using to enable us to deliver the better functionalities.
In addition, in certain instances the browser and the App may use your geo-location to deliver the functionalities of the app when requested and to resolve any technical difficulties and to improve the accessibility of the Website and / or the App.
And the technical data that is gathered is used resolve technical difficulties, and to provide you with the most up to date version of the App and to improve the function of the App.
When you register as a User, we will collect your name, mobile number, email address, weight, blood group, address and your geo-location at the time of registration.
We will use your phone number to send otp, blood request messages and to communicate with you in response to your inquiries, and any service-related announcements. And your Email details to send you the newsletter and other service related mails. We will use your registration information to create and manage your VMEDO account. We may deactivate your account if we suspect that you use our App to commit fraudulent or illegal acts or if you violate our terms of use.
Contact List. If you choose to share your mobile device contacts or address book with VMEDO , we will store your contacts or address book information, including the phone numbers and names of your contacts, to enable you to invite your contacts to VMEDO, find blood donors in your contact and for better user experience.
Device, Technical and Usage Information. When you access VMEDO, we collect information about your mobile device or computer system, including MAC address, IP address and mobile device ID. We also generate usage statistics about your interactions with VMEDO. This information is typically collected through the use of server log files or web log files, mobile device software development kits and tracking technologies like browser cookies to analyze certain types of technical information. Some of the cookies VMEDO places on your computer are linked to your user ID number. When you respond to communications we send you, we may use automated technology to understand how you interact with the communications. You can usually remove or reject browser cookies through the settings on your browser or device. At this time we do not recognize automated browser signals regarding tracking mechanisms, which may include (do not track) instructions.
Precise Geo-Location and Location History. When you use VMEDO you may choose to share with us precise geo-location information using iOS and Android location services. These services may use a combination of GPS, WiFi, Cellular, Bluetooth, and IP address to detect and triangulate your location. You can stop the sharing of location information at any time by changing the preferences on your device. All geo-location data which you share with us will be deleted within 30 days of collection, subject to our legal obligations.
Health-Related Information. Through your use of VMEDO, you may choose to submit personal information about yourself, such as Height, Weight, BMI, pedometer, water intake and other Medical information, pre-existing conditions, symptoms and reports for better understanding of user and to personalize the experience as per user data.
Enhancing Your VMEDO Experience
When you use the VMEDO App through your mobile device, with your consent, we will track your geo-location information, on a real time basis to view the Emergency Responders in your area and to send emergency responder on request.
We may also use this real-time geo-location information for emergency responder support, technical, or business issues and enhance the user experience of the app. If you contact VMEDO customer service while on an emergency response request, and it is necessary to use your real-time geo-location details to serve you better. Further, you can turn the geo-location tracking off at the device level, also temporarily.
In addition, your choice to use some of the features of the App during the emergency response, for example, you can provide your Trusted Contacts details that allow you to share your geo-location information with those persons with whom you choose to share such information during emergency.
If you are travelling in a Vehicle provided by the Emergency Responder, we will collect the vehicle geo-location information and other necessary details to ensure safe emergency response.
When you request an emergency response via your use of the App, we provide your name, contact number and your geo-location details to the Emergency Responder /Service Partner to contact you and serve you during the Emergency. And also we might your health data, and information with the service provider only if it is required to deliver better service outcomes.
During that time only with your consent, we will send you the notifications to your mobile app to let you know about the Emergency responder and other necessary details. If you do not want to receive any notifications you can always turn off the notifications by changing your settings via the settings page of VMEDO mobile app.
Use of pixels
These are mainly used to track the emails and the content that we send, to understand the analytics of the email and to provide the best content in an interesting way and to check the sent emails in text or HTML form at receiver's side.
Profile Photo
If you choose to upload a photo to your VMEDO account, your photo will be viewable by you and others when public information is accessed in both the app and the website. You may remove or replace your photo at any time by logging into your account on the App.
Marketing
VMEDO may use your personal details to send you general updates about services, marketing and promotions.VMEDO executives/ designated third parties reserve the right to call you for general business-related information or promotion. Administrating Job / Partner / Responder Applications
Administrating Job / Partner / Responder Applications If you wish to apply for a job, partner or a responder on our Website, we will collect personal information such as your name, email address, phone number and your resume and other information mainly to process your application, and to determine your qualifications for the position / opportunity for which you have applied and to contact you.
Adding Emergency Contacts & Social sharing
You can add Family members and Emergency contact details in the VMEDO application to notify them during your emergency, And all the details added by the user will be the user's responsibility if you choose to inform your friends about VMEDO services log in your preferred social network and can share it. And we do not store your friends and your shared data.
Administrating Blogs & Forums
VMEDO may offer publicly accessible blogs and forums. We will use your personal data such as your name, email address, phone number, and the messages or content you choose to post to administrate and provide you with these services. You should be aware that any information you provide in these areas may be read, collected, and used by others who access them.
Our Disclosure of Your Information
We may employ our service providers and individuals/volunteers to facilitate the Service on our behalf, process your services, and payment, provide customer support, and provide geo-location information to our Emergency Responders/volunteers when required. And VMEDO might share the health information/ health data of a user or its family members with the service provider during the service delivery to improve the service outcomes.
VMEDO will disclose your personal data only when it legally required, to process defence of legal claims or in the event of an emergency pertaining to your / others health and / or safety.
Your Rights
As a user, you have the right to take information regarding your personal account, including information that you've provided to us and information regarding each emergency response & services of the app. You may ask for the correction / updating of your personal data at any time by contacting our customer service.
Security to protect your information and data retention
Our security procedures mean that we may request proof of identity before we are able to disclose sensitive information to you.
In the circumstances set out in this policy where VMEDO passes your information to a third party, we will ensure that appropriate technical and organizational security measures are taken to secure processing of your data. This does not apply where we need to pass your information to a third party by law & we will retain it for some duration long as the law requires.
However, sometime we cannot guarantee the security of our database, while being transmitted to us over the Internet. Any transmission of information by you to VMEDO is at your own risk. We recommend that you do not disclose your account details to anyone.
