We all have heard of the line “ Be a good neighbor”. Now we are giving you a new tool to take that goodness to the next level. That’s through learning a lifesaving skill called CPR.
CPR stands for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, which is an emergency procedure consisting of chest compressions often combined with artificial ventilation in an effort to manually preserve intact the brain’s function.
After having seen youngsters like Puneeth Rajkumar, Chiranjeevi Sarja, Sidharth Shukla, and many others succumb to heart-related emergencies, it makes it even more vital to learn CPR, which undoubtedly will save lives.
Types of heart-related emergencies that can occur in a residential complex
- Heart attack
A heart attack occurs when the flow of blood to the heart is blocked. The blockage is most often a buildup of fat, cholesterol, and other substances, which form a plaque in the arteries that feed the heart (coronary arteries). Sometimes, a plaque can rupture and form a clot that blocks blood flow
- Cardiac arrest
Cardiac arrest is the abrupt loss of heart function, breathing, and consciousness. The condition usually results from a problem with your heart’s electrical system, which disrupts your heart’s pumping action and stops blood flow to your body.
- Stroke
A stroke occurs when the blood supply to part of your brain is interrupted or reduced, preventing brain tissue from getting oxygen

- You’ll save your neighbor’s life
The most obvious and rewarding reason to learn CPR is that you can save lives. Even learning the basics can help circulate the person’s blood until the ambulance arrives.
Imagine saving your neighbor’s life with whom you’ve shared space for years. This can be the only reason why you’d want to learn CPR. Why would you need more?
